What is immersion?
Immersion language learning means learning a language in an environment where ONLY that language is spoken. Classes are delivered 100% in te reo Māori, and draw on games, waiata and visual cues to support learning.
Why immersion?
Immersion is shown to be a much faster and more effective way to become a proficient speaker in a new language. Immersion learning mimics the conditions in which we learn our first language, and offers us much greater opportunity to hear and speak the langauge than a non-immersion class.
What will these classes entail?
